Depression and Anxiety

If you are experiencing mental health symptoms, we can work together to increase your sense of wellbeing and come into compassionate coalition with any parts of yourself that may be causing distress. My approach combines coping skills to bring relief now, with deeper exploration to change patterns in the future. My aim is to work with clients to cultivate self compassion and tap into their own inherent strengths.

Academic and Young Professional Stress

School, university and the workplace can present specific stressors - from burnout and perfectionism to imposter syndrome and social anxiety. I work with preteens, adolescents and young adults to increase emotional literacy and resilience, regulate their nervous systems, and create a robust sense of self.

Trauma and Chronic Stress

Trauma and chronic stress impact both mind and body. At your own pace, we can build a foundation of helpful coping strategies that are rooted in an understanding of neurobiology, and begin to cultivate a greater sense of safety in your body. I support clients who have been impacted by different types of traumatic experiences and life hardships, including intimate partner violence, sexual assault and childhood trauma.

Attention and Creativity

“The most difficult part of our mind to control is our imagination” - Dr. Hallowell. Whether you have been diagnosed with ADHD, or experience challenges surrounding impulsivity, attention and anxiety, I am here to help you achieve your goals. We will work together to address executive functioning issues, engage your imagination and creativity, and work with your brain to empower you. I have particular experience working with teen girls and women who have ADHD, and may have been diagnosed later in life.

Relationship Issues

In the words of Esther Perel, “the quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives.” I work with couples and partnerships of all types and identities to address conflict and unmet needs, heal from betrayal, improve communication and define boundaries. I also offer premarital counseling and dyadic therapy for cofounders and colleagues.

Body and Health Issues

Our bodies are our life-long homes, and our relationship to them is constantly evolving. In therapy, we can help you to feel more grounded and connected. I support clients dealing with body image issues, disordered eating, chronic illness and health challenges, as well as individuals exploring their sexuality, or healing from sexual trauma.
